It’s a well known fact that having a large list of opt-ins to your email list is a great way to make more money online. However, you’ll need to find a good email autoresponder, if you plan on building your list and venturing into email marketing. The iContact email autoresponder has been getting a lot of attention lately, so we decided to check it out and put the fact together for you in this iContact review.
iContact Review: Templates Galore
In the first part of our iContact Review, we’ll look at iContact templates. All the major email autoresponders offer templates to help you set up your email offers or newsletters. We were surprised to find just how many iContact offers their customers. Their free version (which is fantastic, by the way) gives you just 20 templates to use, but their paid, premium program gives you a heck of a lot more. When you become an iContact customer, you get a whopping 500 templates to choose from. That’s a ton of templates to make your email marketing grunt work a lot easier to do.
The iContact Pricing is Right
Look. We all know that price isn’t everything, and that sometimes it makes good sense to pay more for a quality product or service. But the pricing for our iContact is just too good not to mention in this iContact review. If you have a list of 500 to 100,000 subscribers, you only pay $10 a month. That is much less than some of the other autoresponder service providers charge. And to make things even sweeter, you can get iContact for free if you have less than 500 subscribers. It just doesn’t get any better than free, right?
iContact Review on Disappointing Customer Support
The only downside to iContact is their lackluster customer support. While their support staff seems to be knowledgeable and helpful, they are only on the clock from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. That means if you have an after-hours problem or issue, you probably won’t be getting any support until the following morning. Of course, many people won’t care about these hours, but if you ever have a potentially profitable email that is being sent after support hours, you can certainly understand how the limited support hours could be a source for iContact complaints. Along with disappointing support, you might also get banned if too many people complain. That was my experience and I don’t plan on ever using them again. We were using an imported list that they considered “spammy” despite the fact we obtained physical signatures authorizing us to email the subscribers. If you’re running a double-optin list that begins with iContact, though, you shouldn’t have any problems for the sake of this iContact review.
iContact Review Conclusion: Is it Worth Trying?
We really like the free iContact option, as it lets you learn the system for free, while you grow your list at the same time. You don’t get all the cool templates with the free version, but the 20 that you do get should cover most of your basic email and newsletter needs. And once you get to the 500 subscriber mark, you don’t have to shell out a ton of money to keep growing your list with iContact.
Yeah, the support hours could use some help (and my own account was banned), but other than those 2 black marks, the iContact autoresponder should be at the top of your list if you want the most affordable autoresponder system to grow your business.
